Non-invasive spot repair using a fiberglass material pre-impregnated with UV resin to repair sewer or storm drain pipelines. This method will repair damaged areas such as longitudinal cracks, missing pieces of broken pipe, offset joints, root intrusion, and leaking joints while adding structural strength to the mainline.
This equipment works in pipes from 6" to 20" diameter pipe in 4 foot Sections.
Similar to the Sectional Liner, the Top Hat system aims to rehabilitate incoming laterals with the same type of material.
Cure time of 7 minutes.
Uses of the Top Hat System:
If after CCTV inspection it was found that there were intruding laterals not up to code per city specifications, the lateral would then be grind down flush to the pipe and a UV Top Hat would then be installed
Root intrusion from incoming lateral can be cleaned using the Hydro Jet cleaning method or with the use of the grinder, then a Top Hat would be installed in order to seal off the roots from intruding in the future.
If the incoming wye connection is damaged in any way, the Top Hat can be installed to fully repair and reinstate that lateral.
